Welcome, and hello.

As a pastor and life-long follower of Jesus, I want to help you grow as a person, overcoming barriers that hinder your relational and personal flourishing, and expanding your experience of all that God has to offer in life.

I'm married to Tennille and we have two grown sons. We live on a small farm, raising some of our own food and taking care of this little slice of God's creation. Over the last five years, I've been on a considerable journey toward greater physical health, which you will see and hear reflected in some of my writing.

I preach and teach regularly to the good people of the Erickson Covenant Church, where I do my best to help them grow in faith and love, whoever and wherever they might be. (You can listen to my regular teaching here.)  I've been serving there for over 13 years now. Much of what I will post here on the blog part of my website will flow from my daily work as a pastor, helping people flourish.

I've written one book--Growing Good Influence--and I'm currently working on second, which is a theological memoir of sorts, focused on my formative years growing up under the influence of the 1980s end times fascination. That's proving to be a very interesting journey for me.
